Rove May Be A Bit Premature On History And Bush

Bush presidential advisor Karl Rove writes in today 's National Review online that " President Bush will be seen as a compassionate leader that used America's power for good.

While Rove admits that he cannot be seen as an unbiased observer by any means, he is premature in his assessment. Perhaps Bush will be seen as a president who squandered American lives and treasure to secure oil rights for his corporate sponsors and settle a personal score with Saddam Hussein in Iraq. Perhaps he will be seen as a president whose foreign policy blunders de-stabilized an entire region and gave increased power to an Iranian tyrant who will wield the wealth and all the evil that the world's greatest oil reserves can buy, when Iran gains a share of Iraq.

Only time will tell.
